Good morning ladies and gentlemen.

In this nice opportunity, I would like to talk about the benefits of e-learning.

Dear audience,

Now days, technology plays very important role in our life. Technology makes us easy to do something. We can communicate easily because of the development of technology. And the most crucial one is Internet. Internet helps us to do something easily, instantly and fast. For businessman, internet is very helpful. We can promote our products via internet and many people throughout the world will see and know our product. Besides business world, internet is also helpful for educational world which is known as e-learning (electronic learning).

Ladies and gentlemen,

Electronic learning or commonly we say e-learning is a learning process via online which its process­­ is assisted by technology; electronic devices specially computer and internet. In globalization era, e-learning functions very well. A person who works and wants to continue their study, online learning is the best solution for those. Besides that organization or employer which requires the employee to get high education, they can advise them to take e-learning.

Dear audience,

Here are the benefits of e-learning:

First, we can get the source of material easily. Via Google, we can find any information as much as possible. By writing the topic which we want to know we can get many references.

Second, we can get so many materials. Via internet, we can enlarge our knowledge about anything from inside or outside of country, so that we can increase our experience of learning.

Third, the learning process is more effective and efficient in time and energy. If we get a task, we can find the material which is needed fast without going anywhere. We just sit in front of computer then search the materials, arrange the task and submit it via e-mail or web. And the most important is we can study anytime, anywhere with anyone.

And the last, we can interact with the teacher or students at the same time to discuss the material or duty given. We do not need to wait until the next day to meet our friends or teacher to ask about the difficult material but we just type it then send e-mail.

As a conclusion I would like to sum up that the usage of e-learning should be increased to develop the Indonesian education. Thank you.

2.     You are a moderator in a panel discussion. There are two guests speakers from abroad. Your task is to introduce these two guest speakers to the audiences. Write a text to introduce them.

Here we come to the session which we all have been waiting for.

Welcome to the panel discussion. It is very pleasure of me to be trusted to lead the discussion.

We have two speakers who would happily answer the four questions related to “The Importance of learning English”

Well, ladies and gentlemen,

Before reading the questions, let me introduce you all to the panel members who are expert in language teaching and they come from different country. The first is Dr. John English, good morning Mr. English, welcome to Indonesia. Dr. English comes from United States America. He is an Expert English teaching. He is from Columbia University. And the second is Dr. Brown Middleton. Good morning Mr. Middleton. Welcome to our country. Dr. Middleton comes from England. Besides expert in teaching English he is also a master of English literature. He is from Oxford University.

Well now, I am going to read the questions. The first question is: “how much importance is English for our life?” the second question is: “why should we learn English?” the third question is “is it possible for someone being able to speak English fluently like a native?” and the last question is: “How to learn English easily and fast?”.

Well audiences. I have already read all the questions and now it’s time for the panelist to answer.

3.     Write a speech on the advantages of ICT in teaching English.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen.

Today I would like to talk about ICT.

Honorable audiences

ICT which stands for Information and Communication Technology now days is so common in the field of education. Many teachers use ICT as a part of their teaching process. ICT is very effective media for learning process, for example in studying Biology teachers can explain the materials about metamorphoses easily by playing the video of metamorphose which is done by butterfly. In learning art the teacher can show the video of how to make some creativity such as create a frame from unused material and others. There are a lot of examples of using ICT in learning activity from various subjects. But in this occasion I would like to explain about the advantages of ICT in teaching English.

In this modern era, we are demanded to be more and more creative to make the students interested and excited in learning the subject. One of the ways to make the students enthusiast in learning is by using Information and Communication Technology or ICT. As an English teacher whose subject is interpreted as the most difficult subject among others, we have to be creative and active to make the learning processes are always interested and impressed. So the students will not feel depressed and stressed. ICT not also exciting but also easy to apply besides that there are many advantages of applying ICT.

Ladies and gentlemen,

The advantages of using ICT in teaching English are:

Firstly, make the students easy to understand and master the material. For example to make the student understand how to be a good public speaker, we can play video about speech complete with the explanation about the tips of how to speak in front of public without being nervous.

Secondly, it is effective and efficient in time and energy. In using ICT we show the video of some topics clearly, so we do not need to talk too much.

Thirdly, make students motivated. English is categorized as one of difficult subject which some students hate. Bu by watching the video students will be more interested and will not feel bored another hand some students more interested in learning via computer in Laboratory than learning in the class. It becomes a new excited environment and circumstance.
